Countryside vs. PHU

WHAT: Softball

WHEN: Today, 4 p.m.

WHERE: Palm Harbor U.

ADMISSION: $3

OUTLOOK: Seminole, in extending PHU to 12 innings Wednesday before losing 1-0, added a twist to this Class 5A, District 10 game. "We're tired, we're beat up and now's not the time to be tired and beat up," PHU coach Chuck Poetter said. Hurricanes ace Katie Dobson, slated to start against Countryside last week before the rainout, is questionable after going the distance against the Warhawks. Countryside, coming off a tough 1-0 win Tuesday against East Lake, has more at stake today than PHU. The Cougars need a win to stay alive for the top district seed and protect a No. 2 state ranking and No. 4 ranking in a recent studentsports.com poll. PHU is ranked No. 3 and No. 16 in those polls.
