© St. Petersburg Times, BEVERLY HILLS -- We all know how important libraries are to our communities. The Citrus County Library District Advisory Board plays an important role of providing citizen input into the planning and operations of the Citrus County Library System. The library system is seeking community-oriented individuals that are willing to contribute to the future of their public library system. The Board of County Commissioners appoints board members for a two-year term. The basic function of the Advisory Board is to: Serve as liaison between community and Board of County Commissioners. Serve as liaison between community and Library Administration. Be an advocate of the library system to elected officials at all levels. Review, provide input to and endorse annual Library Services Budget. Review, provide input to and endorse annual Library Long Range Plan update. Fundraising (Library Partnership Fund).
