The Dade City Garden Club's seventh annual historical ornament is now for sale. This year's limited edition ornament features the steam engine at the Florida Pioneer Museum.

The ornament is $13, enclosed in a gift box with a card attached about the history of the most prominent feature of the Pioneer Florida Museum, the 1913 H.K. Porter 30-ton steam engine, which was donated to the museum by Cummer Sons Cypress Company in 1961. For nearly half a century it was used to haul logs to the company sawmill in Lacoochee. The No. 3 steam engine and coal car are displayed at the museum hooked to a railroad car carrying three huge cypress logs estimated to be about 500 years old.

The ornament can be purchased at the Greater Dade City Chamber of Commerce or from a Garden Club member. Proceeds are used toward the club's civic projects.
